How do I know I have the right candidate?
Here's the litmus test: Would you trust your Rainmaker with your own "child?" The answer should be YES! because that's exactly what you're asking them to do. You're asking your Rainmaker to care for your Prospect as if it was their own.
Your Rainmaker should also believe in your mission and vision above anyone else. They root for you every time you get on stage, they celebrate your platform expanding, and they Ted Lasso #believe even when things get hard. The perfect Rainmaker is a team member who has your back and is excited to level-up in their marketing leadership so you can take the brand places it has yet to reach.
Candidates that are not a good fit are hourly VAs and/or contracted vendors. While they might be phenomenal workers, they are not in the business full-time and leaders should be full-time in their leadership responsibilities.
Can I put my
OBM or DOO through
this program?
It depends.
To support your long-term, sustainable 8-figure success (and the sanity of your core leaders), Operational personnel are not a fit for the Rainmaker Residency™ unless they are making a FULL transition out of their current role to their new Rainmaker role in the upcoming six months.
By asking them to absorb the Rainmaker role in addition to their existing role, you’re sending the message that you expect them, as one person, to do the job of two roles. We are anti-Frankenstein role around here, and when you ask your OBM/DOO to become your Rainmaker while still keeping their OBM/DOO expectations…you’re doing just that.
What if I don’t have someone to go through the program? Can I go through the program?
If you don’t have a prospective Rainmaker that you can send through the program but you desperately need this for your company, please see our Preferred Rainmaker Residency™ Recruiters to help you source the right candidate. Laura + Toriann know exactly what you need and who would make the perfect Rainmaker-in-training.
As the visionary, completing this training alone will not solve the problem of permanently getting you out of the trenches. Therefore, Visionaries will not be accepted as their own Rainmaker for this program.
What if my Rainmaker leaves after training them? What if they’re terminated?
Life is full of surprises...sometimes not the good kind. If your rainmaker leaves your company after enrolling in training, you're covered by the Dream Team Pledge, my promise to you that if your candidate doesn't work out, we'll hold a spot for their replacement. If you terminate your marketing leader, we'll put your payments on pause for 30 days while you replace their seat. After this pause, payments will resume and we will begin training again.
Either way, if the unexpected happens to you (or your leader-in-training), you can swap them out for a different candidate within the first 3 months of the program.
What if my Rainmaker needs more handholding than what I can give?
While you're involved in the beginning and end Fortunes of the Fortune 5 Framework™ to ensure that you + your Rainmaker are developing into a TEAM, we're here to develop your Rainmaker into a leader, throughout every milestone of this process.
Your Rainmaker will have a dedicated marketing coach who’s available to offer laser focused support as they navigate learning and integrating the curriculum PLUS the Rainmaker Hotlines, dedicated Slack channels where they can seek support during launches, team issues, and more as issues arise.
We've baked in so much support for your rainmaker throughout the entire process, so you don't have to.
My Rainmaker has never held a launch before…will this help with that?
Launching is such a huge part of leading a marketing department, it's why we included it as one of the central facets of the Fortune 5. In the Fortune 4 milestone, we'll be teaching your marketing leader how to navigate, plan, strategize, execute, and debrief a 6- & 7-figure launch from start to finish.
We know that learning is only half the equation, though. That's why we'll ALSO be supporting your Rainmaker through integration with weekly coaching calls and the Rainmaker Launch Hotline.
I’m so burned out…will this help me get my life back?
The last thing I want you to do is treat this as some sort of ultimate miracle that will reimburse your fatigue. Like anything worth achieving, it takes time to follow the process.
The thing about burnout is that it's often a signal - a red flag that something has been needing to change or shift for some time. (You probably already felt those gut feelings about this). How much do I need to be involved as the Visionary vs my Rainmaker-in-training?
Your Rainmaker-in-training is going to complete all the Fortune 5 milestones and integrative assignments, however for the development of synergy between you and your new Rainmaker, we strongly advise you to complete the training for Fortune 1 and Fortune 5 alongside your Rainmaker as the capstone assignments for these milestones will require the both of you.

How will my Rainmaker complete this program while still performing their normal job functions + responsibilities?
As a elevated leadership development program, this can be taken at any time and managed concurrently with job responsibilities. We recommend your Rainmaker allocating 1-3 hours per week to the program to learn the Fortunes, attend the weekly laser coaching call, and implement their new knowledge and skills.
What if I just hired someone who would be perfect for this?
Tenure is not a requirement for the Rainmaker Residency™. We accept team members who have been with your company for years or days. In fact, what a gift to onboard a critical new leader into the organization the right way from the very beginning. To help them take over outcomes, not just your marketing to-do list!
How do I know I have
the right candidate?
Here's the litmus test: Would you trust your Rainmaker with your own "child?" The answer should be YES! because that's exactly what you're asking them to do. You're asking your Rainmaker to care for your Prospect as if it was their own.
Your Rainmaker should also believe in your mission and vision above anyone else. They root for you every time you get on stage, they celebrate your platform expanding, and they Ted Lasso #believe even when things get hard. The perfect Rainmaker is a team member who has your back and is excited to level-up in their marketing leadership so you can take the brand places it has yet to reach.
Candidates that are not a good fit are hourly VAs and/or contracted vendors. While they might be phenomenal workers, they are not in the business full-time and leaders should be full-time in their leadership responsibilities.
Can I put my OBM through
this program?
It depends.
To support your long-term, sustainable 8-figure success (and the sanity of your core leaders), Operational personnel are not a fit for the Rainmaker Residency™ unless they are making a FULL transition out of their current role to their new Rainmaker role in the upcoming six months.
By asking them to absorb the Rainmaker role in addition to their existing role, you’re sending the message that you expect them, as one person, to do the job of two roles. We are anti-Frankenstein role around here, and when you ask your OBM/DOO to become your Rainmaker while still keeping their OBM/DOO expectations…you’re doing just that.
What if I don’t have someone to go through the program? Can I go through the program?
If you don’t have a prospective Rainmaker that you can send through the program but you desperately need this for your company, please reach out to our Preferred Rainmaker Residency™ Recruiters to help you source the right candidate. Laura + Toriann know exactly what you need and who would make the perfect Rainmaker-in-training.
As the visionary, completing this training alone will not solve the problem of permanently getting you out of the trenches. Therefore, Visionaries will not be accepted as their own Rainmaker for this program.
What if my Rainmaker leaves after training them? What if they’re terminated?
Life is full of surprises...sometimes not the good kind. If your rainmaker leaves your company after enrolling in training, you're covered by the Dream Team Pledge, my promise to you that if your candidate doesn't work out, we'll hold a spot for a replacement for the length of the Beta experience. If you terminate your marketing leader, we'll put your payments on pause for 30 days while you replace their seat. After this pause, payments will resume and we will begin training again.
Either way, if the unexpected happens to you (or your leader-in-training), you can swap them out for a different candidate within the first 3 months of the program.
What if my Rainmaker needs more handholding than what I can give?
While you're involved in the beginning and end capstones of the program to ensure that you + your Rainmaker are developing into a TEAM, we're here to develop your Rainmaker into a leader, throughout every milestone of this process.
Your Rainmaker will have a dedicated marketing coach who’s available to offer laser focused support as they navigate learning and integrating the curriculum PLUS the Rainmaker Hotlines, dedicated Slack channels where they can seek support during launches, team issues, and more as issues arise. Finally, there’s the Swiss Army Marketing Vault - an armory of elite marketing training to equip them with any additional expertise they’ll need in areas like paid ads, funnel building, copywriting, data and more.
We've baked in so much support for your rainmaker throughout the entire process, so you don't have to.
My Rainmaker has never
held a launch before…
will this help with that?
Launching is such a huge part of leading a marketing department, it's why we included it as one of the central facets of the Fortune 5. In the Fortune 4 milestone, we'll be teaching your marketing leader how to navigate, plan, strategize, execute, and debrief a 6- & 7-figure launch from start to finish.
We know that learning is only half the equation, though. That's why we'll ALSO be supporting your Rainmaker through integration with weekly coaching calls and the Rainmaker Launch Hotline.
I’m so burned out…will this

The last thing I want you to do is treat this as some sort of ultimate miracle that will reimburse your fatigue. Like anything worth achieving, it takes time to follow the process.

How much do I need to be
involved as the Visionary vs my Rainmaker-in-training?
Your Rainmaker-in-training is going to complete all the Fortune 5 milestones and integrative assignments, however for the development of synergy between you and your new Rainmaker, we strongly advise you to complete the training for Fortune 1 and Fortune 5 alongside your Rainmaker as the capstone assignments for these milestones will require the both of you.
